Action Against Illegal Housing Projects in Rawalpindi

First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered against the owners of these illegal housing projects, including Chaudhry Muhammad Jahangir, Nazim Bashir, Syed Abdul Wahid, Jabar Khan, and Col (Retd) Muhammad Tariq.

Recently, the Director General of RDA ordered officials to monitor the activities of illegal housing projects in the city. Notices were sent to the owners of these illegal housing projects in Rawalpindi, including:

3. Ralla Gujran, Chak Beli Khan Road
4. Royal Ghar (Apna Ghar), Mouza Paryal, Chak Beli Khan Road
5. New Iqra City, Mouza Dheri Jorian, Rawat Rawalpindi
6. Hoon Farm House, Mouza Adyala Road Rawalpindi.

The Director General of RDA also advised taking strict action on the advertisement and marketing of illegal schemes due to the violation of rules. He decided to lodge FIRs against the owners and advertisers on illegal advertisement for misleading the public. The public was advised to abstain from spending money on such illegal projects and always verify the status of housing schemes before investing money. People were also advised to check the RDA website to collect proper information about any housing scheme.

In Pakistan, many people do not follow the proper procedures to launch a new commercial building or housing scheme. This leads to the creation of illegal housing projects.
