SHC Demands Answers on Housing Project within Kirthar National Park

Karachi: The Sindh High Court has taken a significant step in response to a petition challenging the construction of a housing project within Kirthar National Park in Malir District. The court has summoned the provincial chief secretary to address the concerns raised by the petitioner.

During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer presented arguments before a two-member bench led by Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh. The lawyer highlighted that substantial portions of the natural landscape within Kirthar National Park were being allocated to a builder for the development of a sprawling housing enclave.

Consequently, a summons has been issued to the chief secretary, requesting their personal presence to address the issues at hand.
